First released more than four decades ago, Star Wars (later retitled Star Wars: A New Hope) remains a landmark in cinematic history, widely credited with reshaping modern filmmaking through its storytelling, characters and groundbreaking visual effects. Its musical score, composed by Williams, is equally regarded as one of the most recognisable in film history.

Licensed by Disney Concerts, the concert format offers audiences a chance to experience the film in a new way, with a full symphony orchestra performing the music live alongside the on-screen action. The concert aims to capture the scale and emotional impact of the original score while immersing viewers in the story.

Star Wars
First released more than four decades ago, the original Star Wars film remains a landmark in cinematic history.

The film follows the journey of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), who becomes entangled in the Rebel Alliance’s fight against the Galactic Empire. Guided by Obi-Wan Kenobi (Alec Guinness), Luke begins his training as a Jedi while joining a mission to rescue Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) from Darth Vader (James Earl Jones & David Prowse).

Williams, a legendary figure in film composition, has scored all nine films in the main Star Wars saga. His work on the original 1977 film earned him an Academy Award for Best Original Score, with several subsequent entries in the series also receiving Oscar nominations.

Tickets for the performances are priced at RM399, RM449, RM499, and RM549, and are available via mpo.com.my or call at 03-23317007.
