See Amadeus like never before — on a giant HD screen, with Mozart’s unforgettable music performed live and perfectly in sync by the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. Led by conductor Benjamin Pope and joined by the Malaysian Voices Collective Choir, this special presentation brings the film’s music to life in a way cinema alone can’t.

Milos Forman’s Amadeus is a lavish, exhilarating portrait of genius and jealousy, set in 18th-century Vienna and powered by the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The film follows court composer Antonio Salieri, whose steadfast devotion to his craft is shattered when he realises that true musical brilliance has been granted not to him, but to the crude, mischievous Mozart. Consumed by envy, Salieri plots his rival’s downfall, even as he remains irresistibly drawn to the beauty of Mozart’s work.
Setting a new standard for music biopics, 1984’s Amadeus used the fictionalised rivalry between Salieri and Mozart to craft a timeless narrative about jealousy, genius, and the divine. It also offers a profound exploration of Mozart’s tragic life, portraying his brilliance not as untouchable genius, but as something flawed and deeply human. The film won eight Academy Awards® in 1984, including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Director, and Best Adapted Screenplay, and remains one of cinema’s most celebrated music-driven dramas.
